New Mac user and issue with itunes

I have just switched to using a mac. And everything is fine I have figured everything out that I need for the most part except every time I close itunes it opens right back up again. How do I figure out what is causing this? I mean I can close it through force quit, menu quit. It doest matter it always just opens back up right away. Any help?

edit...I mean itunes. I was opening quicktime when I was typing this so it was in my head.

Try repairing disk permissions and then rebooting. This should fix it.

just saw your itunes edit :o

is your ipod plugged in when this is all happening, if so, do you have itunes to open automatically when the ipod is plugged in. may be something with the ipod cable or something. :dunno:

if this is the case i would try setting itunes to NOT open when the ipod is plugged it
