    Hi guys,

I'm buying a new mac mini but I'm sure I can get better value for money then buying the Monitor from apple.com

What monitors would you recommend? I'm looking to get 20" or above.

I am going to disagree, as the resolution of TV monitors is nowhere near that of a true PC LCD.

Go get a Dell 20" Widescreen, it's less than $300 (free shipping I think), and it's got a solid image that's hard to beat at the price.

Yes you can have a DVD and a wii. DVD and Wii are based on scart cables. I have a computer, a DVD/VHS combi player, and a xbox 360. All are connected to the TV.

I dont see any diffrence, its like telling if a blue ray or HD DVD is best.

Your 26" TV has a resolution of 1280x720 (aka, 720p).

The $270 Dell 20" LCD monitor has a resolution of 1680x1050.

So there is a huge difference, you are getting a MUCH higher pixel density with the 20" Dell LCD, which leads to crisper images and text, which is what matters when looking at PC stuff, not movies.

Yes, it uses the same video card. My Mini doesn't really seem to struggle, but YMMV.
