Anyone else got one of these yet? Picked one up today to replace an aging MS optical (CompUSA, $79). I really like it. Feels very sharp. The new tracking engine uses a IR Laser instead of a LED for tracking, so tracking resolution is much finer. Logitech claims 20x optical performance. And it works on some optical-unfriendly surfaces. I tested mine on glass (works) and clear plastic (didn't work). Guess the plastic is just too smooth a surface.

Its wireless, like the MX 700. The battery has been upped to a Lithium ion unit, and a LED charge indicator on the mouse. Most important, none of the extra buttons (it has a lot: scroll wheel, a rocker switch around the scroll, another rocker on the thumb side, and a button inside that rocker) get hit by accident when using it. Plenty of room around the buttons.

So anyone else pick up one of these uber-mice yet?

I just looked at the bottom of the reciever unit. Two of the regulatory numbers are just placeholders: x-xxx-xx-xxxx and XXXyyyLPDzzzz-x. I think someone forgot something when these went to manufacturing

It ripped up Doom 3 and UT2004 pretty well. No skips or drop-offs. I have a crapload of RF devices in the same room, no issues. The resolution feels like my old boomslang actually, maybe a tad less.

I loved my old Logitech wireless mouse. Until about 3 weeks later when the batteries died. :mamoru:

I have a logitech wired optical now that I love.

This is about the only thing out there on it right now. It will not even be on the Logitec site until tomorrow. I guess some of the retailers jumped the gun. Explains why I had to ask for a price on it at CompUsa, since the shelf didn't have a price for it.

I have one for my laptop. I like the MX 1000 more. My 510 is jealous. I can tell.

Logitech cordless mice aren't bad for gaming however my MS wireless explorer is horibble. So i fixed the problem by using two mice, the MS for everyday use, and a logitech mx310 just for gaming.

i had no problems with my mx 700 and gaming, only reason i got the 510 was because my 700 was becomming hard to get back in its charger after about a year and a half.
