I just pulled the trigger on the 70-200 f/4L
will be here in 3-5 days, I can't wait
Lens and camera manufacturer?
if its L, its canon
Yeah it's a Canon, going on my XT.
You'll love it.
If my choice pleases a man in the midst of a buying spree like yours, I truly feel satisfied
Why wouldn't you just get the 70-300IS? You get an extra 100mm AND IS.
I thought about that lens, but I'd rather save for the 2.8....
And the 70-300IS is pretty much crap, I've read a lot of reviews on Fredmiranda.
Good idea. I love mine.
and that lens IS crap.
whats an L lens
picard.jpg for both of these
I only know L lenses
Do they come with those hood scoop things ?
Duh. To suck in more light.
the overwhelming L response convinced me, plus the "value retention" factor that was pointed out. overall i'm very pleased with my decision.
That's everyone's first L (not mine though, cause I'm not a douchebag)
I would of waited for the 2.8 IS. You will eventually upgrade.
The $$ difference is huge man, and I'm honestly just a hobbyist. There might be a time here and there when I could use the 2.8 and IS but those will be rare, and no justification for the extra $1100.
You could find a 2.8 non IS for about $800. The one extra stop is worth it, not just because it's faster, but for the extra background blur. You'll probably upgrade down the road once the funds permit the 2.8 non IS or 2.8 IS. The 4.0L is a great lens, though.
Yeah I agree and its hard for me to not want to buy the f/4. Im so close to getting it
