A&P New Lens: Tokina 12-24

    Well, not really new, I got it from my friend who never uses it (he shoots mostly film and has the Nikon 17-35 2.8 which is similar on a FF sensor). $250 for a barely used 12-24, I couldn't pass it up :)

    i paid 540$ for mine after taxes and thin Tiffen UV filter :wtc:

    that second shot is pretty sweet...did you use any flash?

    Yeah, on the first one I had one left, one right, and one behind to illuminate the dark hole.

    Second one was flash camera left.

    I'm loving this lens...I'm in school now getting some prints done but as soon as I leave I'm going out shooting with it again.

    Nice. I was checking out some other shots people have taken w/that lens on Flickr and noticed a lot of them come out soft. How's the quality @ full crop?

    From what I read the main problem with this lens is chromatic aberration. As far as sharpness, it looks fine to me so far. I'll upload a full crop when I get home, I'm on my way out right now.
