posting this for a friend. he recently moved into his new apartment. he had a 27inch regular TV that he was using. one day he plugs a cable wire up to the jack on the wall and to his TV and to his suprise, he had channels 1-78. well he went out and bought a flat panel 37" proview LCD. now when he plugs the cable wire into that TV, the channels are all fuzzy and not clear at all (almost completely white noise) and he doesnt get all the channels after doing a channel scan (auto programming). the amount of channels he gets are random after scanning. he was told that he would have to get a special cable wire. is this true? if so do you guys know what cable wire he would have to get? keep in mind he does not have a cable box. just straight from the wall to the TV. free cable FTW! he is trying to avoid calling time warner and getting digital service because he isnt home enough to warrant getting full digital serivice. but it was nice to watch the usual discovery channel and what not when he is home.
