http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/pro...n&s=dhs&cs=audhs1&~lt=popup&~tab=highlighttab My old Pentium M 1.5Ghz Vaio is definately due for replacement. I've found that even though the laptop is slower I definately use it a lot more than my desktop these days just because of the convenience. Looking at the Dell XPS M1330 with Core Duo T9300 (2.5GHz), 4gig or RAM, 320Gb HDD, internal audigy and the upgraded battery. I priced it up today at AU$2,365. Compared this with the XPS M1730 and in all honesty it seems to cost double what the 1330 costs just for a better video card, another hard drive, and a bigger screen. Honestly I'd rather the smaller light weight laptop. What would be some good competitior laptops to check out around the same price bracket that will perform as well? I'm not looking for anything with a huge screen, I prefer portable, and if I can I'd prefer to not get one of these stupid shiny screens end users love which show up every reflection around you. So far the IBM's seem more business oriented, while the VAIO costs a fair whack more for the same specced machine? Dan.
