I want to start getting a game plan together for putting in a decent system. I am not really impressed by the "thumping" I am a bit too old for that. But I do like a louder volume without loss of quality.

Which would I start with the deck? I am looking to spend just under or at $200.

I hear great things about ordering from clutchfield

replacing the deck and leaving stock speakers is not a great idea if you just want SQ. The only time I'd recommend replacing only the deck would be if you want a particular feature that is not (easily) acheived with the stock unit.

I'd say save up your money for head unit, speakers, amps, and a small sub. You can't really upgrade only a piece at a time and end up with good SQ until it's finished, imo.

I expected to have to replace at the least the deck, stock speakers, and possibly put in an amp and small box.

Any recommendations by any Liberty owners on a setup? especially the box.
