    Hello.

I currently drive a 2001 Ford Taurus SES. It has the original CD player in it, however its not the best of quality so I would like to upgrade it. This is the deck I would probably get. Pioneer DEH-P6700MP (click)

My question is, how much better would my stock speakers sound with this new HU? Is it worth it?

    Thanks!

ur stock speakers will probably sound about 2x as good and you will have a lot more features than before.

I suggest panasonic over pioneer but thats just me.

    crutchfield has bad prices

if you want you could either get some average coaxials or components to replace the stock speakers also.

I love my panasonic HU. It makes my whole car lgiht up blue its so freakin bright, but I can trun it down if I wanted. They wont sund twice as good, but will sound better at higher levels probally. And the more options is nice.

check out www.tauruscarclub.com Some people there would be able to give you a definite answer for your car. As long as you do not have the digital climate control, you should be good to go.

Yeah I do not have the digital climate control so I just got the new dash peice and I'll have circut city install it for free since Ford decided to make my car a pain in the ass by puting the tuner/amp in the trunk. :rant2:

Can't wait to see how it sounds :wiggle:

edit: its a pioneer deck, not a panasonic :o

i used to have pioneer deck with stock speakers on my accord. Comming from stock HU and stock speakers, just by chaning out stock HU, it sounded awesome with stock speakers. After awhile, your ears start to adjust to the speakers and eventually you will think it sounds crappy. Currently i have JL components in front with pioneer 6x9 in the back. Comparing to stock speakers with Pioneer HU to new components, the difference is unbelievable...
