I bought new speakers and figured I'd upgrade my two year old Klipsch sub. I was looking at the HSU VTF2 MK3 and the Elemental Design A3-300. I decided on this based on talking with the owner of the company when inquiring about the subs specs since they aren't published on the site. There is about a month wait, but fuck it, I gotta wait another 2 weeks, at least for my speakers.

Listening to bookshelf speakers for two weeks with no sub is definitely FTL.

How'd I do? I couldn't find any real reviews or listen to this, so hopefully it lives up to the words of the owner.

Looks awsome, but I'm not into anything high end.
I'm running 6x9s in car stereo boxes hooked to a sony reciever.

According to the guy I was talking to he said it goes down to 15-16hz at good levels. So, hopefully it delivers. Now I get to wait. :wtc:

    OUTSTANDING buy...well done! :h5:

Epik makes arguably the best subwoofers on the market, bang for buck! the only close competitor is the av123 MFW15 at the moment. And Chad is probably one of the best driver designers out there!

    well done my nigga

:bigthumb: I was researching SVS and eD...then I started searching knight and found an avs thread you started about epik...but it was from a year or so ago if not more. So I figured since you have some ridiculous subs, they would be decent.

Chad was a cool guy to talk to. Answered all my questions and helped me out. I can't wait to hear this thing.

$599, but shipping pushed it to $714.95 shipped. The thing weighs 115lbs. :eek3: It's still cheap compared to the price of the competition that is sold in retail locations, plus it destroys subs that cost 2x or more as much. I haven't heard it, so this is all based on reviews and what others say. I'll post my thoughts once I have it.

I'll have to give these a shot and see how I like it vs my SVS.

very well braced. something tells me you won't get much problems out of backwaves and cancellation.
