I am going to buy a new HDD, and I want to transfer all my data from the one I have now, to the new one. I know there is a cable for this situation, I just can not find it, or think of the name. Can anyone help me? I do not want to have a duel HDD.

just install both hdd's and do the transfer, then you can remove the old one.

ghost will make an exact duplicate, if that's what you want.

With many of the new HDDs these days it comes with a bootable CD.
With this CD you can not only format it to your liking but it'll also do a direct copy of the data from one drive to the next all in at the same time if you're going from an old bootable drive to a new one.
If both are "additional storage" then you can use the CD to format first then to do the Disc-to-Disc copy.
