New hardrive...what to get...two options?

    Hello guys...I own a Dell inspiron 5160 and im trying to decide between two internal hardrives. There the

    60g 7,000 rpm by IBM

    or

    80g 5,400 rpm by Toshiba

    What would u guys recomend...Does the speed have any advantage one over the other...? Thanx

    what do you do with the laptop?
    games=7400
    music and movies= 5400

    The speed of the hard disk is typically the bottleneck on a notebook. Anything you can do to speed that up is going to make the system a lot faster.

    However, the faster one will drain the battery a bit faster. It's a tradeoff really (like most things in laptops) - speed vs. battery life.
