My hard drive is making tons of weird noises so I ordered a new 250g Seagate from Newegg. I want to take all of the stuff on this hard drive and transfer it to the new one and get rid of this one entirely. My question is, will I have to install windows on the new harddrive? or is there a way that I can copy my entire windows directory to the new one and that be it?

I'd say install the new drive alone, start to install windows to the point of the first reboot, then simply copy everything over using a (3rd) boot cd

Yeah I just googled Arconis TrueImage and it looks like Seagate has its own program, or a deal with Acronis for this image thing whatever it is.
