I bought my 1st handgun new last week. It is a Ruger P95 manual safety & came with 2 mags. I thought all new guns came with 10 shot mags & never attempted to load more than 10 my 1st time @ the range. However, I went to the range with it for a 2nd time this weekend & discovered somethign surprising when I got down to my final 13 bullets. I just tried for the hell of it & all 13 rounds went into the mag normally, with room to spare it seemed.

I was surprised & figured the shell would jam after the 1st shot with the extra spring pressure, but it just kept on shooting & I counted my shots to confirm how many I had put in. So, is this normal or did I somehow end up with hi-cap mags with my new gun? :noes:

I totally forgot about that bill expiring. God Bless America.

I like it so far. It was slippery the 1st time I shot it, but I bought a slip-on Hogue grip and it's pure sex.(although I about ripped my fingernails off trying to get that bastard on.)

BTW, did I put this grip on correctly? I thought I put the correct side up per the instructions, but it almost looks like it should go the other way.

That gun is ugly as sin... but I'm probably still going to get one anyway:cool: Went and handled one again this weekend... whoever at Ruger designed & approved the stock grip should be fired

I've shot 250 rounds through it & haven't even had it a week. :noes:
I need some practice though. I've been shooting a 15 yard target & not doing as well as I would like. I need to find someone to go with that can teach me proper positioning and form.
