"The New Hampshire state legislature took an unbelievably bold step today by introducing a resolution to declare certain actions by the federal government to completely totally void and warning that certain future acts will be viewed as a "breach of peace" with the states themselves that risks "nullifying the Constitution."

This act by New Hampshire is a clear warning to the federal government that they could face being stripped of their power by the States (presumably through civil war!

The remarkable document outlines with perfect clarity, some basics long forgotten. For instance, it reminds Congress "That the Constitution of the United States, having delegated to Congress a power to punish treason, counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States, piracies, and felonies committed on the high seas, and offenses against the law of nations, slavery, and no other crimes whatsoever;. . . . . therefore all acts of Congress which assume to create, define, or punish crimes, other than those so enumerated in the Constitution are altogether void, and of no force;"

Federal gun crime laws? Void. Federal drug crime laws? Void. The gazzillion other federal criminal laws that deal with anything other than the specific enumerated crimes? ALL VOID.

One would think that if any lawyer anywhere in the entire country was worth his salt, all federal criminal trials would have ended years ago. This seems to prove that most lawyers are dullards."

Good. I think they need to push this even further. Spread the word.

  4. Wow! Way to go Washington. It'll be amazing if anything ever comes of this, but the fact that people are even talking about it is encouraging.

  8. By sending them letters? The only way to stop circling the drain is a fundamental shift in the modern American way of life. Rather than looking to government as a problem solver and protector people need to take that responsibility themselves. Only then will they stop electing people who want nothing more than power. In our current situation it's hard to get elected by telling people you WON'T do things for them, and they're responsible for their own well-being.

It will take more than words. The states need to beef up their own military forces and create volunteer level militias. Counties and cities within those states need to do more as well. And last but not least, those states need to stop doing whatever the fed says, and toss the dangling carrot money back in their face.

i think here is portsmouth there is a better view on firearm owner by the police. i was walking out of a bar once shortly after getting my CCW [i wasnt carrying that night btw] and there were two officers standing outside as it was closing time. i walked up to them and flat out asked "so, i just got my CCW, is there a law against having a firearm in an establishment that serves alcohol?" to which he replied "no, there isnt anything in the books about having a gun in a bar or resataunt, however, if we are in there, and see your gun, and you are wasted, we would probably take you down town to sober up." and the other officer looked at me and said "its new hampshire, live free or die man!"

another promising time was when i was concealing [tho i believe you could see it cuz i was only wearing a t-shirt] i went into the police station and asked where the best place to find all of the NH gun laws was, and more specifically if i could build an SBR. officer behind the desk was more than happy to help, called over another on duty officer for some reference, and we even started talking about ARs and how every portsmouth squad car as a 3 round burst M4 in the trunk. lol.
