New to me anyhow. A club member had something in the safe he's had for a while, and I traded him something I had in the safe for a while.

Old school Para P16-40. Like buying a 69' Camaro from the little lady that only drove it to church and back. Pre PXT, tight fitting. Only thing that was ever done was put night sights and shot. And shot very little, finish is perfect. Not that it matters as it's going to get ran hard. It's got S80 trigger, but nothing my pistolsmith can't handle. Everything but the slide and frame is likely getting tossed.

Should be my new limited gun for NEXT season. My old school project, I'll use this season to debug, cut and re-spring to my likings. Here are the "before" pics.

    Very nice!

Because it's pre-PXT, it means you can run standard extractors right?

Can you piece together a 1911 from your box of spare/discarded parts? Also, how much will you sell it to me for? hahaha

Yup, standard extractor, which was the biggest fail in Para's history. I've already got most of the stuff to rebuild it. Just need to get new sights and deciding if I will do any slide lightening, etc.

You don't want any of that junk, it's tossed for pretty good reason. Friends don't left friends shoot junk. :mamoru:

That would be a pretty cool project.

Oh... and have you seen those new flip 1911's..... Made by metalstar or some such jazz?

All stock for now. I'm trying to get a hold of some STI Mags though.

I've only "heard" of the Pinoy 1911's. Also there's American Classic 1911 supposeably.

Not for XMas, but my BDay is 2 weeks away so whatever I don't get for Xmas I usually get for my BDay. Course now it'll include some new sights for my Para.

I've never had a huge draw to 1911's, but that thing looks pretty sweet.
