designed specifically for us Cali peeps: www.blackstararms.com

Go to the forums to see a picture of the rifle they will be making. For those that dont know (most of you), all of the design/pre-production prototype work for this rifle was actually done by 'Mud' on calguns.net . The basic premise is that it gives PRK residents the ability to get the modularity of the AR, without having to deal with all the bull shit AW laws.

Actually, I'd probably buy one of these if they were reasonably priced. Especially if they sold just the lower.

If I wasn't considering a career in LE I'd probably just buy an AR and bring it in illegally. :wtc:

im pretty sure that if its not on a registration requirement, like an AW, you can have high cap mags if you had them before they banned them

    GET OFF MY LAWN!
Effective January 1, 2000, SB 23 generally prohibits, the manufacture, import, sale, giving or lending of large capacity magazines (defined as any ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds, but does not include .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding devices).

#2. A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.

The rifle they have pictured is not California compliant. False advertising!!!!
Shame on them for getting people's hopes up. :wtc:

Sure it is if they had the magazine before 01.01.2000 or after that so long as they had it pinned at 10 rounds.

Edit - just noticed one flaw with the picture, you have to grip the railed forend since you can't have a verticle foregrip, that can't be very comfortable.

I personally think the weapon is ugly and a waste of money unless you live in Commiefornia, but they sound like such an awesome company i'd buy one just to support these fine people.

agreed. However, it is an entirely CA made rifle. Hell, to start with the guy wasnt even planning on getting a company to make it, but so many people at ranges wanted to know where they could get one, he decided to go for it.
