I'm looking at hogue's - they've got wraparound style and just grip replacement style - the wraparounds have finger grooves - i won't have a chance to try them, any input before i buy? :wavey:

That's what everybody I ever see w/ a Sig ends up with. They feel great, the only other ones aside stock I've used or my friends are the Crimson Trace for the laser.

i had hogues for the longest time but recently switched back to the stock grips. the hogues were fuckign comfortable, dont get me wrong, but they made the grip a little wider than i like

    p.s. i know i have small hands :o

yeah its the wrap around with finger grooves. i just took them off, so i plan to run it stock for awhile just to make sure i want to leave it as-is.

if i decide to sell them, i'll post about it here first :wavey:

I took them off my 226 and put the factory grips on. Rubber grips were holding my shirt in funny positions.

so general consensus is to go with the hogue wraparounds over the regular hogue rubber grips that don't wrap around/don't have the finger grooves?

I got both to try out on my Sigs. The wraparound finger groove ones are awesome, I keep that on the 226ST which I use strictly for ipsc. The dense tacky rubber feel is excellent, and to me the finger grooves add a great deal of controllability.

I put the regular ones back on my other 226 as the rubber tends to bind up in your shirt/clothing if you carry.

Only other bad thing is it doesn't help an already wide gripped pistol. Can be hard to achieve a proper thumbs high grip if you have short fingers.
