How much? I've had an urge lately to buy some optics for my AR.

$259 from Midway, $199 from SWFA but they're backordered.

The ADM mount was $179 from Adco

Midway has the scope on sale for $219.99 this month. I might go with an Eotech, though. Or maybe both, since I'm picking up another AR next month.

Meh.....had a fakepoint to try out 1x shooting. Even though it was a fakepoint it was solid in terms of accuracy. Mainly wanted to see what life
would be like without a magnified optic. Great usability but sort of limited
my options when I go out to shoot.

Nah.....keeping it around for now. I'll probably buy a real aimpoint and ADM
Aimpoint mount somewhere down the road though so I can swap optics and
    keep my zero on both.

Yeah, it's not bad. The Nikon 3-9x I had before was brighter but go figure,
the objective on that was a lot bigger.

The glass certainly isn't Scmidt & Bender quality but it'll get the job done.

I have one of those on my AR and its definitely nice to have the magnification if its a range gun. I dont really like using it at 1x for cqb stuff, though it would certainly get the job done if needed.

I have an Eotech too that will go on my true lightweight defensive rifle and this will stay on the mid length range/backup hd gun.

I have a Millett TRS-1 4-16 on my precision AR and on my precision .308. I really like the Millett scopes for the money spent.

How does the front sight look through the scope? Can you see it (is it co-located?) When you use the magnification does the front post get big and blurry?

Same MI front rail I have! :wavey:

Do you get some great co-witnessing with that setup with the front sight?

At 2.5x magnification and greater, the front sight cannot be seen.

To give you an idea of what the front sight looks like at 1x:

The front sight is actually blurrier than that.

Nah...cheekweld is ok. I think my mount might be a little shorter (vertically)
than Sardrusakakakrard's though. Or his camera wasn't quite where your
eye would be. At 1x my 1moa dot is closer to the front sight, but still above
    it.

Mine is sitting on a LaRue rail. There may be a height difference between that and the ADM.

Or it could be my camera skilz. :mamoru:

Are there any other decent mounts besides the LaRue and ADM (looking for something cheaper?) Ideally I would like something about the same height, but for a bit less cash. I don't need the quick release. Also, I heard the CAA mount sucks.

If you're shooting from 1" glass the Rock River mount works well, is easy
to pull off, probably doesn't hold its zero as well when removed, but it's
    solid.
