Ive been looking at new video cards for Doom 3 and HL 2. Ive mainly been looking at the 6800 GT and Ultra. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with them or found any good deals.

I've read reviews that the 6800 GT killed the x800XT in doom 3, however i've also read some reviews stating that the 6800 wasn't fully supporting direct x 9. but i'd still kill to be able to afford one of those cards.

All the 6800's fully support Dx9.

read the review on driverheaven.net about the 6800 they tested. sure it says it is, but they were having difficulties with the card.

i've always been paranoid about using the second output on my dual out cards, so i always end up running a higher-end card in my agp slot for my primary display and then less capable (cheaper) pci cards for the extra display(s). only downside is it limits my available slots.
