Im looking to get some new speakers for the fronts and center, as the title says. Im going to stop buy best buy just to hear some JBLs as I havnt had a nice floor standing speaker in quite some time. I guess my biggest wonder is do I want a speaker with 1 woofer or 2? I have a klipsch 10" sub and Sony 7.1 receiver. Also what do I want to look for in a center channel, right now I have some small ass $20 KLH center and I cant hear the damn conversations even with the center turned all the way up. My budget is around $400. Any suggestions? Oh and are the Theater Research speakers any good on Ebay? Im guessing not but they look pretty nice. Thanks guys:wavey:

I saw Ebay has some E80s for 220 shipped. Seems like a pretty good price. Ill have to run to Worst buy and see how they sound.

Went to bestbuy and listened to the JBLs which sounded pretty decent but nothing special. And I misread the Auction that price is for each:squint: good thing i read the whole thing. I look into the 2 types that you guys suggested. Im curious do I need a speaker with anything bigger than say a 6.5 woofer? Being that I have a sub and I usually just watch movies?

Paradigm... Better than wharfdale by far. Wharfdales are bright as fuck. We used to sell them at my shop. Been selling Paradigm for years and it sounds wayy better.

I thought about Paradigm, my dad has a center channel and it kicks ass. So how important is it to keep the same brands/series for all the speakers?
