since I seem to be on a never-ending spending spree I thought I post my daily equipment purchases.

    Today:

    Two Sunpac super 383 strobes
    two pocket wizard connectors
one pocket wizard (to go with the two I bought yesterday)
    :x:

edit: oops...forgot to include the grad filter.

    somebody please stop me!!!!!!!

Don't feel so bad now about getting a collection of hoods, step up rings and a Cokin z-pro filter holder with another 4x5 filter from 2filter recently.

I need a single case to hold a handful of 4x5 & 4x6 filters though.

I kinda gave up on the hobby since winter kicked in. I can't wait for summer so I can go on a spending spree and get back into this stuff.

I use a toolbox to hold all the filters we have at work for our video cameras. I rarely use most of them, (except the grads) preferring to alter the look in post.

what I need is for all the gear to arrive so I can become one with it, and start earning some money shooting for profit.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it if I were in a studio. Outside I either can choose between doing it in post by combining two or three shots, or just slap a filter on it. I'd usually rather go the filter route when possible as opposed to doing a lot of work in post.

This is just the latest in a long line of purchases I've been making every week or two since the beginning of the year for photo stuff. I need to stop.

I figured that since pocket wizards seem to be the de facto standard for wireless, I'd be better off going this route. :dunno:

As long as you have flashes that will go manual, and have some sort of idea on balancing light PW's is all you will need. PW 4 Life.

Next piece of gear I buy will be a 400 2.8..... Unless I can't save that much, then it will be a mark III. I could really use either, but the 400 2.8 a little more.

You can get a couple of sunpac's, umbrellas and PW's for under $500.

Or you can come hang with me and shoot with my gear. :x:
