Not that this topic hasn't been done before but I can't resist.

    272.5 kg (601 lbs) http://media.putfile.com/2725kgs-dl

    bw 246, 6', age 26
Previous meet best of 252.5 (557) at 236, back in march

Bench (mid-upper 300's)and squat (knocking on 500) aren't really worthy of such a post yet. Give me about a year or maybe shirt/suit.

3 things I'd work on that'll get you a bigger pull:

    1) don't spend as much time getting set up, you are using a lot of energy bent over trying to get your grip right, etc

    2) sink you hips lower, you will generate more power off the floor by bringing your hips lower and using your squat power to come off the floor

    3) try your best to keep your air - that screaming is going to hurt the lift

other than that, great work - you are built to pull

    Many thanks,

I've been lurking here for some time, just rarely post.

I've actually gotten better with the time I spend at the bottom before beggining the pull if can believe it, only about ten seconds now instead of 30.

My hips were a bit high on this one. I'm not too consistant with getting them at the right hight yet.

I don't usually yell or make hardly any noise during my lifts while in the gym, not sure why I did there. But I do know that it would have been better to keep it it.

That was my second attempt. I opened with 540, went 600, and didn't have the energy left to get 606 much more than 3" off the floor

Again thanks for the comments, and keep ligting heavy.

well, i hit a new personal record on rack pulls today, but i also had a fun experience.

    rack pulls+front squats+leg press+45* back raise

at this point i couldn't walk, so i sat down for a good 10 minutes

get to my car after a hell of a walk, rested in it for another 10 minutes

go to circle k, get an icee in an attempt to get a sugar rush to wake up :o, get on the main road...i turn left as usual and im so out of it i turn on the wrong street. bad part is i didn't realize it for a mile or two

turn around, get back on the road, get to where i need to turn..im starting to feel a little weird/sick.

halfway down the road after the roundabout, i feel like im going to puke. all right, get to the convience store for the love of god, i get there and im woozy as fuck. OH SHIT. my throat locks up, i open the door but my head jerks to the right and i fucking blow all over my car. three times. my radio is broken, my car is full of puke and im drenched. i wind up taking my clothes off and breathing through my non-soaked beanie until i get home.

i get home and look at my car and im like uh, i dont think ill be driving any time soon :(

at that point i was in boxers only and i ran into the shower. best shower of my life.

now i rest here, puke soaked car, out of a good shirt and pair of shorts, alert as hell and knowing im going to have to clean it eventually

but i hit a new pr on rack pulls and thats all that matters :hay:
