Ok, so I got this shitty 80 dollar that came with my car when I bought it. I hate it, basically its just a cheap piece of crap. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about a deck!? 200 limit.

Yea, and I personally lean to Alpine. Either way, you'll be set. Go to the store, play with them (look in the $300 range), go on eBay, get it for 30% less, profit.

I personally like Alpine, but I heard that Pioneer has overtaken Alpine as the undisputed deck leader

I think I'm going to go with Alpine. Which would be a good on to pic thou?

A friend offered me a clean and maybe month old Eclipse. Worth it?

Eclipse isn't in the under 200 category.

I don't think Kenwoods are that bad at all, I mean I would choose a Alpine over it.

What are some good places that have good pricing. I went around to my local car audio stores but my friend told me that "Good Guy's" has some good shit in stock and good pricing? Anyone ever gone to Good Guys for car audio?

I've always read good things about good guys. also al&ed's if you have them where you are. push comes to shove, you could always check out Best Buy or Circuit City. As far as Alpine v. Kenwood, for the price range you're in, the Kenwood will generally offer more features, and if you chose, you could pick up the entry level Excelon unit for ~$250. Built in xovers, System Q eq, ~5 volt preouts, MP3 capability. oh and remote (FTW:bigthumb: ). Plus i think the new Alpines sound tinny as hell, reminds me of a JVC. Personal opinion of course.

The Best Buy and Circuit City in my city have all the same components, amps, deck, subs, boxe's. I will be going to good guys for my deck and for the rest of my car because my friend's brother in law is the manager in the car audio department so he will hook it up pretty good. I was wondering, is there a Kenwood deck that has the input for an Ipod Mini?
