well what do you guys think of my new daily driver. pretty rare car (about 1500 turbo models produced). relatively low milage. clean interior with minor rips in the seams of the seats. the exterior needs waxed very badly, and it was in a minor accident and could use a new hood. also i probably should win an award for the dirtiest engine bay. but it rides good and im happy with it. and the sleeper factor is great. car has a 4g61turbo engine (little brother to the eclipse/talon/laser 4g63t. The good thing is the 4g63 is a direct drop in...

thanks for the compliments guys. i plan on cleaning up the engine bay shortly. If i cant find the time to do the 63 swap soon, i will just rape a junkyard eclipse/talon/laser and install the sidemount intercooler, turbo manifold and 14b turbo, injectors, ecu, and maf (all are direct bolt ons) should wake this engine a little.

what turbo does the 4g61 come with? is the manifold the same as a 4g63?

1 actually. The "webbing" that makes the hood rigid was damaged. Easy fix though, and $20 later I have a nice hood. On a side note 7000 miles later the timing belt went (I'm an idiot for not getting it serviced the day I bought it). I guess the 4g63 swap will be happening sooner than expected.

no, I think it was more. It' looks like it was in a front-end collision (body panels do not line up) and then either was rearended, or was hit from the side... Seems to be a re-paint.

jollyogre: not a repaint I can assure you of that, the paint is just really faded badly (needs claybar or a full cut and polishing). The accident was to the front end.

LH 346: I meant in the US. It was only imported here for 1 year as the colt/mirage turbo.
