Picked up a gun a couple weeks ago. Picked up a CZ 75B to build into a SSP champion for IDPA as well as double duty for Production Division. Gun was worked on by Scott Springer of Springer precision.

Trigger set to 5lb DA, 2lb SA, Competition Hammer, Competition Target sights, with blade front sight, SS mag guide, trigger spring, main spring, polish here polish there. Hogue wraps for now, but some slim Aluminum grips are on order as well. It's going to be a sleeper stock pistol, lol.

Ordered new grips, more magazines, a Blade Tech DOH holster and Millenium mag pouches.

I wish they made the SP-01 with the safety and night sights, I would have bought one instead of my Glock. I didn't want a decocker.

Really? I hadn't ever seen an SP01 steel frame with a safety and the night sights. I think I was told once they didn't make them either, maybe it's a new configuration. I could have also been lied to I guess.

Hmm, I'll look around. I could only find ones with the decocker and night sights, or a safety and normal sights. I'm happy with my Glock, but I would like to know if they are offered.

You are talking about the SPO1 "Tactical", Tactical's have Decockers. Regular SP01's do not have decocker and only have the safety, which is much better.

 Now that it's fall and there are leaves on the ground, I should think about taking some pics like AB's. :o

so what is the purpose for this one, AB?

besides more gun = more awesome

I recently bought a CZ-85 combat, should get in here in about 2 weeks.
after I reverse the mag release it will be fully left handed/ambidextrous. cannot wait.

An IDPA SSP Division gun that will double as a gun to shoot USPSA Production. I've been on a 1911 kick lately, time to switch gears and start building up my CZ gun base this year. Everyone is doing it with an SP01, I thought I'd do on the original 75 B platform. I don't plan to shoot this gun competitively until 2010, after it's been sprung and some ammo tuned for it.

I like to start builds a full year before I plan to shoot it, tinker with it, train and spring the gun, then shoot it for a year or two.

Sent you a PM before I saw this, because I'm half-drunk and retarded. My apologies......

Nice looking heater, welcome to the club. How do you rate Springers trigger work? Haven't heard of any CZ's done up by him.

What size are your hands Ari? When Larry Davidson gets off his ass (I kid, he's been pretty busy lately I hear), he's supposed to be making me a run of G10 grips to dupe the factory thin cocobolo contour (which I love).

Shhhhh... Don't proclaim it from the highest mountain just yet, but yeah.

I love me some micarta, and was bummed that no one made any such grips for CZ's. Contacted several people about doing a production run for me, and Larry was the only one who showed any interest. Last plan was that he was actually going to stock them as a normal item (he's expanding his grip selection).

He's had some of my grips for quite some time now... I need to ask him about how things are going.
