+6gb tri-channel ram
pfft my macbook air can slice a cake.
I wish I wasn't so limited by older/slower RAM because upgrading to 4 or at least 6gb would help me out so much. $77.99 for 2gb...
I'm BARELY getting Windows 7 Pro, can't wait to see what 4GB of ram feels like
ngas be applying presets and filterz in record time, Yo!
nice. i love having light room, photoshop, firefox, and a game running at the same time. no slowness
Nice...i love my i7.
I need SSD tho
Sounds badass man. You running Win 7 Pro too?
I need another 2-4GB of Ram but the bloody cpu heatsink covers the ram slots and the sticks won't fit with the large heatsinks.
get low profile ram
i wish SSDs were bigger and cheaper. i guess 2 years maybe?
I just bought a new machine a couple of weeks ago, and with 8GB of RAM I noticed a significant difference. I just wish I had a way to make CS4 work, because in the trial I used of it, it was faster in processing batches and plugins than 3. From what someone else told me 4 was designed to take advantage of a lot of extra RAM that newer machines running Vista and 7 were using whereas 3 was designed around XP.
i need to upgrade to windows 7. I have the disk for 2008 server pro R2 just chillin here
just do it man. i kept putting off windows 7. i hated vista and kept running xp. i finally sucked it up and did it. it's pretty nice
God damn this thing is fuckin amazing. The jump from my old AMD 3200+ system to this, is almost as serious as my jump from the 10D to the 5D mark II i made recently
and yet it still sucks ass
78 bucks isn't much at all man, when you consider how much better your system could run.
yeah, this is my first time touching win7 and so far it seems pretty cool. Gotta learn my way around though
yes you do! the x25m is fuckin' blowing my mind!
yup, got in on the student price deal. Planning to order another one for my lappy soon.
gotta pay to play son. But really, unless you're installing a ton of games and shit, the 80gb is a great size for an OS/applications drive.
yes it does. Photoshop is now able to take advantage of the 64bit environment (on windows, not yet for macs i believe) So the more ram the better!
same here. I never used vista ever. I went straight from xp to 7.
