The story is I'm moving to a new job in a new city where I don't know anybody. I want to commemorate this new challenge along the journey of my life.

So I want to get a tat that symbolises change, a new challenege or a new beginning. May something taht symbolizes a cycle of many new beginnings/challneges.

I've got some ideas but I'd liek to see what other people come up with.

Tibetan symbol for metamorphosis. My best friend got something similar when she graduated college and got her first job.

well, i've decided to go in a slightly different direction. The day I moved away, my best friend (I was in in her wedding 3 weeks prior), gave me a letter. In it she said, "This is what you want & need - a fresh new page in your life."

Well, I want to make the idea of a new page/chapter into a tattoo, as it would then have a double meaning to me. I'm just not sure how to express that idea artistically.

You could do like a sundial morphing into a modern clock (changing) with the date you moved on it, and have a sun coming up from the east to show a new day/age.

actually, the eye of horus is the proper egyptian symbol for rebirth. I know b/c I was in a similar situation when I moved from detroit to los angeles. the eye of horus is the left eye while the right is the eye of ra. If you are interested I'd suggest reading a little bit about the stories behind Horus and his encounter with Ra.

    here is mine:

No I dont think it means that. not in any of its primary meaning. If you wanted to use an egyption symbol the scarab would be better suited.
