a couple of the guys i work with are pretty serious about riding, so i got in on a group deal and decided to give it a shot

i've ridden almost every day (i'm going to try commuting to work 3 days/week, which is 8 miles each way) and just this past sunday (yesterday), i went on a 25 mile ride, which took me about an hour and 20 minutes

i find that it's a lot more exciting/interesting than running and even though it may not burn as many calories (i'm not sure about this), i'm more prone to do it regularly b/c i enjoy it so much

biking is something i would probably enjoy getting into. i hate running and hate running on a treadmill.

I love biking I'm more into trail riding though its more technical and fun but I'd like to get a road bike eventually for some distance rides. Good choice to go with specialized mines holding up well :bigthumb:

the allez triple is 700, the allez elite triple (above) lists for 1300... i could have gotten a helluva deal if my legs were a little bit shorter (they had last year's model, which was the exact same as this year's, for about 20% off), but a proper fit is extremely important

I've been looking for a decent used road bike for a little while now. Can't find one with a large enough frame so far :(

try to hit up a good bike shop in a few months... the 2007s are coming out soon, which means the 2006s are probably going to go on sale soon thereafter... you need a big frame (if i recall), so you might even have some luck finding a 2005 right now that they're trying to get rid of... first thing i'd say to do is to go get measured so that you know 100% what size frame you need, then you can start scouting around for deals :dunno:
