    Picked this up today.

2008 MB CLS 550 with pretty much all the bells and whistles.

To complete my day, it managed to be in it's first accident within 20 minutes of signing the paperwork, before I'd even left the lot. I was parked over by my old car moving stuff over when some guy pulled out of a parking spot and caught the left front corner. It was pretty minor and will be taken care of when I take it in for it's first service. I guess it's good to get that first ding out of the way early...

I took some pics last night, but my wife seems to have taken the camera with her today, so I'll have to post them up later.

It's just a tiny scratch in the placstic cover on the front bumper. You'd never notice unless I pointed it out. Of course, knowing it's there, I see it every freakin' time...

Here's some more pics of the interior. My favorite gizmo is the little button you push to make the lower section of the center console controls slide out and up and the CD changer slide out.

My favorite gizmo can be seen in the fifth picture.

Nice. I'm not to keen on the styling, but hell, it's still a Benz.

Yeah, that's one's pretty slick too.

It's honestly one of the few MBs I like styling wise. I also like the SL, but need a back seat, and I love the G class, but don't really need another SUV.

didn't want to go that big on my luxo barge. This has pretty much all the same features and I like the look of it better.

P07r0457, don't hate. It's a nice car. And if the guy can afford it then all the better for him since he has a successful career. To the OP: What is your profession if I may ask?

Interestingly enough, those are actually the AMG wheels. Which were vastly overpriced, and I really could care less about, but the car I wanted happened to have the AMG package, so whatever.

It has 383 hp, gobs of torque, though I don't remember the number. Does 0-60 in like 5.4 seconds. Not quite the CLS 63, but I also have this, so I don't really need my luxury car to also be a sports car.

    They look slightly different

    http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2006/2006-Mercedes-Benz-CLS-55-AMG-IWC-Ingenieur-S-1280x960.jpg

I was just reading a article on the CL version of your car actually before i posted in here, its apparently the most balanced and popular engine choice :o

You can also get the V12, and the AMG63 engine

They're the AMG package wheels for the CLS550. As I said, the wheels are pretty much an "I don't care" thing for me, but I just went to the build your own section of the MBUSA website and I actually prefer my wheels to the base 550 and the stock 63 wheels. Guess that was 5k well spent after all.

The CL is nice, but that start at 100k, and, as baller as I'd like to think I am, that's getting out of my price range. Though I should have driven a CL65 just for grins while I was at the dealership.

Nice ride. The CLS is one of the few four-doors out there that I considered when making my last purchase.

I, however, opted for the droptop (and the AMG :))
