OK i'm not sure if you remember my old post with the clear cards... i was 2sec from ordering new ones, but i felt i REALLY needed to freshen up my logo to something more mature.

    This is the old idea:

    This is the new hotness:

the spot UV has been simulated with the white shine, it should look more like this under the light:

    tell me what'cha think! :bigthumb:
    should order these this week

    EDIT: got em!
color is little off (more purple), and the spot-UV registration is a little off on some cards too.. but overall I'm a happy camper :wiggle:

The new logo is SOOOOO much better branding.

The only criticism I have about that ballin-ass new card, is the signature panel, which I can understand if you really need a place to jot something on your cards. Otherwise it just doesn't flow with the design of the card IMO. I liked the previous sig panel design better, perhaps with "Photographer, Art Director, Designer" above the panel, with the contact info below the panel, then logo fill after each. But then again, you're an Art director & designer, and my design experience is limited to 3rd grade construction paper Christmas cards. I guess what I'm saying is

Bro, if you are doing this through same site as old card(customplasticprinters.com), if you increase quantity to 500, it comes out A LOT cheaper.

OK i feel MUCH better about this response now!
I'll make some final tweaks and send them out this week for sure.
I'll be ordering them from http://www.tasteofinkstudios.com
Haven't used them before, but they look good... $200 for 500 cards (w/ rounded edges and spot UV on both sides)

i WOULD get die-cut, but the minimum order is 1000, and that's just overkill for me.

UnNaked, a good designer listens to all input :) Thanks for the suggestions.
JBrown, yes I do all the covers for Import Tuner... not to mention the whole magazine :p

    Glad you like!
I've gotten emails about the music saying how much they love it... even bought the entire album of the artist! I searched everywhere and I think that music is very fitting for a portfolio. Not too obtrusive, yet smooth and hip.

And i tried to make the music controls super obvious if the user wants to pause it. :hsd:

Plus my name is also Clint, so I'm glad I can help as I have a lot of experience with how that name should look on paper, especially things like police reports, notice of service, etc. I have a big portfolio of my own if you are ever interested.

Did you pay the extra $80/$120 to have them "design" your card, or did you completely come up with that?
