I promised the owner of the company my mom works for a photo one day at their company picnic, 2 years ago. I was taking photos of the shindig and he approached me and started talking cameras and film and made me promise him a photo he can keep in his office.

I captured this, just as the sun was going down on a sunday evening in 09

I printed this for him in 8x10, framed it in stained oak frame, and handed it to him this morning, my first day starting with the company..

He was floored, he loved the colors, EVERYONE that saw it LOVED it, and the owners wife wants a HUGE print of it hung in the main entryway, and I have a few people wanting their own prints.

This was taken with the 40d and 28-135, only lens for the digital that I had, I only had my vivitar and 50mm film lens with me, but didnt bother using it to get this.

This is shrunk to 640 px wide and saved #2 quality of course :mamoru:

Where would be the best place to get a HUGE print done, best quality, lowest turn around time?
Do you think it would look right Canvas wrapped? Jared_IRL do you do stuff in the 35-50 inch area?

probably looking at 35-50 inches in the long and I'll need to frame it unless its gallery wrapped,

I think I overheard something about placing it in the main entryway for the company in the reception area for everyone that enters the office to see. :eek3:

I don't know of I'd get something like that done on canvas. If it were me I'd a 40x60 gloss (or semi) print and mount it on some foam core and attach to the wall.

I'm not a fan of leaving paper prints unprotected. Not only do I think it looks bad, but paper prints are really fragile. Time, the sun and dust will destroy the print in pretty short order...

However, this print would look sick on metallic paper with museum glass and a nice thick black gloss frame. SICK.

I think you're wrong about how it would look on canvas. The canvas does have a semi-gloss finish, and the thick stretcher bars will help it pop out really nice. but that's why they make different flavors of ice cream, right?
