Don't know about it, but check out "The Strain" by G. Del Toro (the guy that did Pan's Labrynth and the Hellboy movies). Started it last night and it is fucking amazing.

Agreed, it sucks that I have to wait till next year for the sequel. Book was so badass.

Read 200 pages in my first sitting. Not since the first Autumn book has anything grabbed me like this book did. Great story, good character development...excellent uses of vampire mythology, couldn't ask for more.

Just picked up Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, have never been a Jane Austin fan, but what the hell. At least with zombies in it I won't feel like a cock-pumper reading it.

While we are talking new books, I am just gonna come out and say it...Pride And Prejudice And Zombies is BULLSHIT. I can accept the concept of taking a Jane Austin novel and adding something to it, but I am 9 chapters in and it sucks. It is like the dude said, "I am just going to add the occasional zombie attack to the original story. Then I will make millions!" I am not impressed.

i just got some "new"(to me) books. I liked the 1st few books of the Wheel of Time series so someone recommended me "A Song of Ice and Fire"

    Game of Thrones: Good
    Clash of Kings: Awesome!
Storm of swords: 1/2 thru and its also Awesome!

    I haven't been this stuck on a book/series in a loooong time.

I also picked up the Stand, but i haven't started reading yet.

 I saw that in the book store the other day, I thought it looked kind of dumb. Zombie fad for the sake of zombies = lame.

A Song of Ice and Fire really blows Wheel of Time away.... a Storm of Swords has some crazy fucking shit going down in it too. You have one book after that, and hopefully by the time you're done that, the next book, a Dance with Dragons, is out.. Ice and Fire is my favorite fantasy series :hs: Although I'm not a huge fantasy fun.

The sad thing is it could have been a decent concept. I have watched some really bad zombie shit and given it props because the idea was there. But, PP&Z ust sucks.

We should watch a good movie like Zombie Diaries to wash the stench out of your head.

Everything this guy said is true. The Stand is amazing. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it, and I almost panicked once when I heard somebody sneeze while I was reading. That's how much you get sucked into the story.

    Read it now.

I was thinking I still need to see Martyrs, but I might take a zombie flick instead.

Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's new book Bones of the Dragon (Dragonships of Vindras) is pretty good so far if you are into the Fantasy stuff. A little over half way done with it so far.

As good as The Strain was, it was definitely overrated, imo.
