so I finally found what I've been looking for for a while, an RZ350:

it needs work, but goddamn it's fun to ride even as-is and gets SO many looks - people don't expect 2 strokes on the street

anyone have an R6 front end for sale cheap?

go fuck yourself, I have a real bike (KTM 625SMC).

think you can find a running RZ350 for cheaper than that?

also: it's got full fairings but the stay is bent. it'll look better with the fairings on.

Wow, someone who has no fucking clue about motorcycles spouting shit.
It's a Yamaha RZ350. If you had any clue about bikes, you'd know what he just bought.

Now go back to the main forum and play with the kids.

I've already got some bodywork for it:

and no, I don't plan on really restoring it... getting it into better condition sure though.

    basic plans:
99-04 R6 front end (not sure which gen, but conventional forks)
FZ600 swingarm, SV650 wheel (swingarm is aluminum and wider than stock)
Fox shock off an R6 (got it for $50)
    SV650 headlight
    flat black the tank/tail

    sometime later:
    +4mm crank/+5mm rods, some porting

    maybe eventually:
    megasquirt (it has been done)

Dude, what a fucking piece of shit. I suggest setting it on fire, then smacking yourself for wasting your money.
Then post the video on youtube.
Seriously dude, get a real motorcycle. Or do you not have the balls to ride a real motorcycle?
But really, this should be cool to see how it turns out.
    Good luck.

This is the kind of stuff you find buried in the back of someone's barn. Looks like crap, but it turns out to be something neat and rare.

Hell my Venture was a pile of parts in the back of a guy's garage. :big grin:

now if I can just find a 1970 hemi cuda convert. in some old lady's back yard who just wants it outa there cause it reminds her of her dead husband. (still have that dream ;))

    paid $1350.

before you jump on me about paying a ton: it came with lots of extra parts, and good luck finding one that runs at all for that price... really, if you do and it has paperwork tell me and I'll buy it in a heartbeat.

it does need a top end though, hopefully just rings.

I don't think you're getting looks because of 2 strokes.

Hey looks like a POS to me but then again, I've never liked old stuff much anyways.

Congrats on your find and good luck fixing it up.

i've had ratbikes before (an ex250 and a gs700) and they haven't gotten anywhere near the looks this thing has gotten. could be it's from how much of a POS it looks like though.

I'm currently broke so at this point it'll probably be a couple months before I can rebuild it :o

edit: if anyone has any interest in it it's for sale...

I start the bidding at $.50, some lint, a bag of kool aid, and a stale tootsie roll.

If you want to pick it up, I'd let it go for $1k FIRM. Clean title in hand :) I could deliver, but I'd want $.30/loaded mile (meaning $.15/mile I have to drive)

as I said, I already had a "real bike" before I bought it... unless you think nothing other than a Harley is a real bike. I just realized that I like SuMos and dirtbikes more than streetbikes.
