Just moved a couple weeks ago and am (finally) getting my signing bonus Friday, so I've got to buy all new furniture this weekend. What bed frame does everybody recommend? I see that the IKEA Malm is popular around here, but that's way too low for me. I'd prefer one that can fit a regular box spring + mattress instead of those weird IKEA mattresses that are just a pad or whatever. I'd prefer to keep the price under $500 (not including mattress) but if it's something I really like I can spend more.

I just got the Ikea Mandal, I love the extra storage underneath and the two tone color.

You can put a regular mattress in the malm, you dont have you buy an ikea mattress.

If I had the room for it, that would be my ideal configuration. It's a pretty solid bed, too.
