Sold the backpack and bought this:

This is the perfect sized bag for my needs. I may need to tweak the compartments a little, but I think it will do just fine for now and even for future upgrades.

Nice bag. A bit too showy for me, but now you won't lose anything in the depths of the bag with that color ;)

You'll definitely be taking the camera out more when you walk since it won't be such a hassle.

it was $140 shipped through Amazon (17th street photo).

And i've rearranged the pads inside again so now the camera sits on top and is much easier to grab and shoot.

Bumped your thread...are we to assume you have the brown one? I was torn between that one and the black one but I found i'd rather have black/green vs. brown/baby blue.

I think i'm gonna need the Brazillion if that's the 7. Is it too large to carry on airplanes?

I think I'm going to go ahead and buy one of these soon... as much as I love carrying my big ass bagpack around, I need something small and portable!

I have the older version. I think it'd be about right for a flight. Mine is packed pretty tight right now with 2 sb600's 1 sb900, gripped d700 mounted to a 28-70, 50, 85, 60 macro, lumiquest mini softbox, various gels, batteries, and filters. It'd be tight but I think if I had to I could squeeze another body in there (not gripped or mounted) and maybe one more small lens... like a wide prime or something.
