All those books are being tied up with the 64 page Avengers Finale, written by Brian Bendis and drawn by Bryan Hitch. They've never worked together before.

I kind of can't believe Bendis and Hitch have never worked together before.

I also am in shock at the number of Avengers titles.

Yeah, it got out of hand around Civil War.

Now everything is more streamlined. We'll have a single core avengers with Cap, Iron Man, and Thor. Bad news is that spidey, wolverine, spider-woman, and some others that were brought in to make New Avengers "new" are probably going to leave.

They're saying that with Brightest Day and the events after Siege are bringing an end to the "Modern Age" of comics and moving towards the "Heroic Age"

they should involve some B-Listers into the avengers just to give them something to do. (e.g. Cloak and Dagger)

i really liked the "underground" avengers that have been around post civil war. but i really believe this title is going to be thor, cap, tony, hank, and jarvis. herc is looking to be killed off, spidey has his weekly series, spider-woman has her own series, logan is always all over the place. hawkeye will probably stick around, i hope he goes back to his old costume...if not modernly updated like mockingbirds outfit.

it will be interesting, i'll say that much. i don't think it's going to be this massive ensemble of characters however. the avengers will always be a small, tight-knit group.

A couple key characters were cool as fuck. Put Taskmaster, Gauntlet, and Constrictor into the spotlight and brought in newcomers Trauma and Komodo, as well as a few other interesting characters.

It sorta makes sense. New Avengers was leading to the Secret Invasion plot from Day 1. Then Norman took over and that sort of naturally led to Dark Reign/Siege. If he gets taken down here, it nicely ties up all the loose ends.

First 10 issues or so of initiative were awesome. Started to go to crap after awhile.

I hope to god Wolverine leaves. He's an X-Man, not an Avenger.
