So, i'm wondering if the RAM and HDDs on the new 15" MBP are user replaceable? Since they got rid of the battery cover, can you still access things? I haven't ever had a MBP before, so i dunno where things are, i'm assuming access is thru that battery cover. I can't imagine they didn't figure out some way to let users replace that stuff... but who knows.

So, 17" MBP peeps who have the non-user-replaceable battery, can you still upgrade your own RAM and/or HDD? Or are you stuck with the stock components?

When I pick up the 13" MBP I plan to upgrade the HD and RAM before I even turn on the computer.

Good luck with the upgrade :)

If you have an aluminum unibody you are allowed to replace the HDD and the RAM without voiding any warranties.
