I attempted to setup my router (linksys befsr41), and i can see the network but can't reach the internet. I used the static ip given to me by the univ. on the router, the router assigned my pc an ip. Anyone got any ideas?

Are you doing this at home or at school?

If you do not want the router to assign you an IP, you have to turn off DHCP on it.

Did the router assign your computer a gateway? Is port 80 open on the router?
