I just got a new Linksys wireless router.

    WRT54G is the router.

My dell 1600N network printer is not accessable from the new router.

the printer's IP address is not in the range available to the router.

I have tried resetting the printer's IP address. printer config sheet still shows it in a range that I cant get to.

I have tried adding the IP address into the routers settings.

    still cant ping the printer.

    any ideas...

Yes, you're not following Dell's instructions properly.

You need to set it to DHCP.

    Tell us where you're stuck.

And then tell me why we're typing in double space

    I got it working...

    2 problems...

    1) it was plugged into port 3 of my router. just noticed today there was no light there :o. moevd it to port 4 and at least got a light.

    2) turned off DHCP and gave it a fixed IP addy. that did the trick :)
