There's a kit that I'm looking at that seems to be quite the bang for the buck -

It's $400 for the kit with 8 probes, etc., and that seems like a fairly decent price for the features that it has, however I've not heard/used Black Box before.

    Anyone have some input?

I think they are pretty high-class stuff
Fluke makes some stuff that is pretty industry-standard
I have a Fluke 620 cable tester that treats me right

Yeah, the Fluke stuff is insanely priced though (I need the diagnostics ability for up to Cat6, and the 8 individual cable ends since I'm the lone ranger), and given the fact that I'm paying for it I can't point out the Fluke I want and force Accounting to cut the check :o

I didn't look much at their racks but I thought the pricing wasn't *too* bad (compared to Fluke, at least) but there's not much in the way of kits that do what I need them to do :hs:

Still haven't bought it - I think I may wait a bit to see if I can't get them to send out a demo kit or something. And maybe Fluke :o
