network card install win2000

    i have no clue what brand the network car is that i'm trying to install.

    is there a generic driver that will work on most / any card?

    I would take the FCC number on the back of the card, look it up and track down the company that way.

    open up ur case, take out the card. look for any chips. on the chip there will be a white text (called a silk screen). there u will see probably a manfuacture name (3Com, SMC, D-Link, LinkSys (biggest brands)) and a model number.

    go to google, and search for the model number and add "drivers" to the end of it.

    if u need help, take a pic of the card and post it on here. im sure i can get u drivers in no time.
