I have more troubles with my LAN :rant2: I think part of my problems are that I'm using ICS instead of going through a router, which will soon be fixed. But this problem I don't believe is caused by ICS, because the same thing happened on a buddies computer right after windows was just installed.

On my server computer, every minute or so this little box appears....

And then, it dissappears. The cable NEVER comes unplugged, so something is messed up here.

I have a network cable running from the server, to a hub, which then goes out to another desktop computer.

This is a layer 1-2 issue. ICS doesn't matter. You either have a bad NIC in your computer, bad cable, or bad hub port.

Do you have actual network connection problems? Or is it just this message that's bugging you?

    Sounds like a bad cable.

Well for some odd reason the internet speed on the new client computers is extremely slow. The server's internet runs fine.

So maybe this is effected by the network connection problem?

The cable has always worked before. I believe this started happening after I reinstalled windows xp.
