    Hey guys,

I am not able to access some shared folders from any computer. The shared folders are on a Windows 2003 server.
    I'm getting multiple errors, like:
an error occurred while reconnecting ... this connection has not been restored; and also
logon unsuccessful the user name you typed is the same [SIZE=-1]as the user name you logged in with.

I am able to ping the server, and I'm also able to access a JRun server that's running on it.

I've looked around but haven't been able to find a solution. Do you have any suggestions?

were you able to access it before? maybe a physical network problem? firewall rules change?

    Yeah, we've had access before.

No changes that I know off besides provably some Windows automatic update.

I don't think that's the issue. On the windows 2003 computer I can't even see the computers on the network. :dunno:

We installed a hotfix and when booting up 'preparing network connections' took forever.

It prompted with some 'driver or service'. From what I've found, it's some DNS issue, but I don't know what to try to fix =\

Well, enabling the Guest account in active directory users and computers and adding guest to the permissions, allows browsing of the folder and stuff.

It's a quickfix, but I'm looking to see if there's something else, because that ain't right :)
