    I don't know where to go elsewhere. Torrents and newsgroups, if you know how to use them.

    zSNES is the best SNES emulator, as for the rest I couldn't tell you :LinuxCrew:

    Just do some google searching with "roms" and "romz" variations and you'll find a ton of stuff.

    this shit is easy to get your hands on...

    This is what I use for Sega Genesis, Master system and Game Gear
    http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-index.php?page=Kega

    NES
    http://jabosoft.com/?categoryid=1

    SNES
    http://www.zsnes.com/

    ROMS are easy to find as well. This is where Torrents become your best friend. download a program called uTorrent and click these links

    NES = http://isohunt.com/download/31278042/NES+ROMS
    SNES = http://isohunt.com/download/29583994/SNES+ROMS
    Genesis = http://isohunt.com/download/15121248/Genesis+ROMS

    There are the complete US collections of each system.

    Ohh, and you can find anything you want actually. I used to have GBA and Neo Geo... but that HD crashed and I only had so much extra space to back up everything. 720P on a 32" LCD FTW

    well if you are only going to be playing NES SNES and Genesis, you want something with at least 2 trigger buttons on each top side, and 6 right thumb buttons as well as 2 extra buttons for a start and select/mode button, as well as a 8 way dpad.

    these are the 3 controllers I use depending on the game...

    ohh and walmart sells an adapter go hook either a Gamecube, PS2, or Xbox controller into USB its like $20

    These would be perfect

    Radioshack has an adapter to let PS2 controllers work through USB. It was like 15 bucks or something. That's what I use, works great.

    PSP is SOOO damn good for this Emulation stuff!

    I used to use My PC + TV + Wireless PC Controller,
    But now I play Anything I want anywhere I want on the PSP
    (Only downside is, The PSP only has an 8GB Stick in it right now)

    Just felt like bumping this since I downloaded all the NES/SNES games this last weekend. Fucking :bowdown: to JasonKnight.

    I never owned a console up until original xbox, so most of these games are pretty new to me. Its been badass playing some of the predecessors to new games and actually playing through the classics everyone but me is familiar with already.

    Surely you can get the 360 controller to work.

    before I had the 360 controller I liked to use ps2 style, two extra buttons for speed up/ rewind and the right stick for save/load state. still use said buttons for said applications with the 360 controller now :o use xpadder and you can map buttons to the gamepad for the F1/F3/F4 buttons of epsxe and pcsx2 (psx/ps2 emulator)

    Just another site that usually has updated emulators for things.

    For playstation 1 and playstation 2 look into ePSXe 1.7.2 and the newest PCSX2 you can find. I use GSdx 3068 for the graphics plugin on ps2 and pete's opengl2 2.9 for epsxe. If you want to play GT3 or 4 you'll need a very fast cpu, your video card doesn't matter too much as neither emulators were programmed to take much of an advantage with them.

    AdriPSX works for ps1 too, and you'll need it plus some kind of memory card switcher thing to play FF7 if you plan to. I never could get an emulator to play all the way through that game, certain parts just wouldn't work and lock it up. Gotta switch between emulators epsxe and adripsx at certain save points to keep playing.

    Project64 for n64. None of the n64 emulators are great, and the button config doesn't match up to regular controllers well... i'd go for project64 though.

    This showed up in my subscribed links :rofl:

    Anyways, project 64 is the happening emulator for N64. Not sure for PS1. If you have a PS1 you can play burned games like so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8EL07Db1ww

    Insert a legit game, wait for the tone, swap out with a fake game.

    Again, going back to my first post, theoldcomputer.com is still the finest resource I know for downloading roms individually.
