This game was released about 3 months ago. I remember reading a glimpse on it but never bothered to look too into it until recently. This game is pretty astonishing considering it's freeware. The games quality is so high I wouldn't hesitate to pay for it.

Here's my briefest way to explain the gameplay. It's like CS:S, but more tactical, with classes, in a futuristic setting. The setting is heavily based on the Ghost in the Shell universe, so if you loved the movie/tv shows then looking at the games designs and maps is just like wowowow    but this game is not for everyone. You either like it or you don't, I'll tell you this now. Just like how some people can't stand Team Fortress but love counterstrike, and how some people love Team Fortress but hate Counterstrike. It either clicks for you or it doesn't.

It's got a learning curve, for sure. I've been playing for 2 days and I'm just starting to get the hang of it.

    There's three classes.

Recon - the class most like Motoko from Ghost in the Shell. Fast, agile, has the longest cloaking. This class is also capable of going onto many areas the other two cannot, like ventilation systems and rooftops and platforms. The negative is that recon has the least amount of armor. Only class that can use the remote detonation pack, but cannot use some of the bigger guns.

Assault - A sort of inbetween of Recon and Support, has medium armor, the only class that starts off with frag grenades [you can pick up frags from dead assaults as other classes though.] The cloak is about half as long as recons, and he has the ability to sprint but it uses auxiliary power.

Support - The tank. He is pretty slow but you can run slightly faster by pulling out your pistol, just like in CS:S. He cannot sprint or cloak like the other classes, but he can take way more hits, and can use some of the much more powerful bigger weapons.

Also to get some of the higher end guns you have to level up. Once you hit 20 XP you have access to every gun.

Support is definitely the easiest class to play, and the one I suggest you use when you first start. Assault lets you do some of the more fun stuff like cloak. Recon is more advanced and requires a lot of flank the enemy, hurt them a bit, run around and flank them from the other side, hurt them a bit, etc. But once you get handy with recon it's definitely the most funnest

The game is a lot more fun than it looks in the trailers/gameplay vids but I'll post them anyway.

And I posted a bunch of screenshots but they aren't showing for some reason :madfawk:

I love TFC, didn't like CSS but strongly dislike TF2. I'll try this one.

guess that's a compliment about a mod made by amateurs for a game that was released on November 16, 2004.

I tried it once and it was pretty fun for that one time. Here's a gameplay demo of the recon class:

I love that vid, that is why recon is so fun once you really learn to move

One time on shrine I just did some epic ninja shit and jetted towards the enemy team right after the game start and ninja'd my way behind 3 supports and 1 assault, I knife'd 2 supports and the assault in the back before the fourth dude noticed and blasted me away :wtc:

I don't know what universe you're from where the half-life 2 engine runs on the Wii, but okay :)

:bowdown:It's a solid mod. When I had time in the summer I used to play religiously until school started. My favorite character is Assault:wiggle:

Well, I heard good things about this game so I downloaded it.

Four rounds and I absolutely hate this piece of shit. It is like CSS but with faggots abusing the cloaking and an even worse aiming reticule. I shot a recon plain in the face and he still got me. Faggot was cloaked though.

I already got rid of this pos.

I don't think you can get any of the mods directly off steam :hs:

Well they built it as a tactical shooter and thats why the aiming reticule is like that. It's not like CS:S where you are getting headshots with your ak47 being held at your shoulders :mamoru: If you use the assault class you can see when cloaked individuals are moving if you turn on your motion-vision. Also if you were only in there for four rounds you probably didn't get a chance to level up, so you were probably using a submachine gun vs. the recons assault rifle so the recon was able to kill you faster :hs: It's really important to stick with your teammates too. Sorry you had a bad experience :hs:

I've played tactical shooters. I was big into Rainbow Six back in 01.
None of these garbage pseudo tactical mods compare to it.

its from Warcraft 2. alt+Q+Q was the shortcut to exit the game. Its basically the original version of ragequitting but conveniently it also looks like someone crying

Rainbow Six and SWAT games are too tactical for me :o but they were fun. too much patience needed for those games though :o
