Negative calorie foods?

    I always heard celery takes more energy to eat than it has in calories but it is minimal.

    i think what they mean about negative calorie foods is that you expend more calories eating it than you take it from the food itself, i know that's the case with celery, but some of the fruits and veggies there don't strike me as a "negative" calorie type

    i wouldn't trust this site...they put papayas in the vegetables section :ugh2:

    I think they put all those foods as negative calorie foods so that proana people will actually be taking in calories instead of eating celery and broth and drinking water 24/7.

    I would not see why since you have to chew and that is burning calories. It can't be constituted and cardio though since you would probably only burn 10 calories or so. Of course so does sitting on the couch watching TV but not enough.

    i've heard that too, but it's the only food i've ever heard of like that

    the xylem are so hard to breakdown your body uses a ton of energy to do it
