don't forget: the asus a7n8x comes with an onboard sound card.

    speakers: i've heard these are a good deal (w/ $20 rebate = $47): http://www.newegg.com/app/Viewprodu...60&manufactory=1080&description=&srchFor=z640

isn't "PC2700 333MHZ" an oxymoron? i thought PC2700 was 266mhz.. :dunno: regardless, i think the 2400+ uses 266mhz fsb anyways, so pc2700 is the way to go.

if you shop at newegg.com, you can get all that you listed (except for the monitor) for about $750.

    logitech.com, go to speakers

I dont own a set of logitechs personally, but if my hifi broke and i had to buy a set of speakers, they would be the ones.

    Thanks for the replies.
A couple more questions though, how good is the on board sound card?

And, no, I dont think the pc2700 are all 266MHZ. If I get the AthlonXP2400+ I will be limited to 266mhz? Therefore, my faster ram would be useless?

    thanks,

Oh, yeah, and I live in CANADA. So, if you know any good places to buy parts and stuff...well you get the idea...

On board sound is quite good on the Deluxe. Those speakers are alright for the money, but with a $2000 budget, I'd fork out a little more and get better speakers (maybe a decent set of headphones too if you use them). If you're looking at 19" CRT's, I'd consider the Samsung 900NF. Also a friend of mine just got a relatively high end Viewsonic (some UltraBright series or something like that) and it looks pretty nice and has no damper lines.

    Okay, thanks.
    I was thinking maybe
Creative Labs Inspire 5.1 (not the 5700 model, thats way to expensive!).
