I'm starting a new business, and I'm thinking about putting something different on the back (or front depending on your point of view) of my business card. Which looks best to you, or is most memorable?

I prefer a farrrr more simplistic business card. Full color photo business cards always looks cheesey and overdone. Also, applying gradients to copy on business card and using non-standard fonts (script) reduces the professionalism and makes the info hard to read.

You want your card to be as simple as possible, reducing the amount of time it takes for them to read and understand what it is, because if it takes too long, they wont bother.

Didn't you make this same thread months ago? I remember seeing those same shitty mock-ups with the same black car in it a while ago.

You know what I mean. I'm sure yours gives the person at least a vague idea of what you do and doesn't have over processed Photoshop text on it.

you could get away with the headlight style card but the reflections of people bug the shit out of me.

get rid of tag lines and just get to the real info...unless you were planning on putting that on the back of the card.

the best thing to remember is the image and tag line shouldn't be the focus of a business card. your information should so make that the most important aspect of your card.

actually you got me thinking on the text thing a lot

im gonna hijack a bit this thread and ask for opinion on mine, this is how it looks

What I do is change the front of the card with a different picture and only order 100, so this is the fifth version
    front

    back

The front is great, the only things I would change are to reduce the shadow on the bottom-right text to maybe 1px and I'd pull it away from the line of the couch (shifting the entire image up 10-15px or so?). I would also pick a solid transparency behind the top-right block instead of the gradient, a midpoint between the harshness of the bottom and the trailing off of the top. Perhaps also making the entire box smaller to fit into the negative space in the top-right instead of overlapping the art. There's also a weird black thing in the top-right of the picture, I'd photoshop that out and maybe center the photo a little more.

The back is a little noobish, shadow-box effects are day-1 stuff people grow out of. Normal people will most likely not notice/care, but if you're doing work for a web/print guy, he'll know how cheesey it is.

You have all of the information on the back on the front, so I'm really not seeing the benefit. I'm a fan of the blank, white back so I can give people personal notes or an alternative number.

Thanks for the critique, ill definitly follow your advice on leaving the backside clear

now I just gotta think what picture I should put on the new card..gets harder all the time to change it.

Senen, the only thing I didn't care for on yours is the text & color of your name on the front. I couldn't read it and couldn't figure it out until I saw the back and realized it was your name. I actually couldn't for the life of me figure out what SenenCito meant but it makes sense now.

I went with a slightly different design, im putting a screenshot of photoshop so you can see why I can't really move the elements, the lines represent the bleed limits..I did however make the box a bit smaller

    so there we go

Senen, print out one to scale - im wondering if your vital info is too small to easily read. Just a suggestion.

I just ordered these. I designed them in my 2-D design class. What do you think? I wanted to keep it basic and uncluttered.

I would have ended it with your phone number and put the URL by itself on the reverse side, or somethin like that

Okay, I redid one of the cards, and made two new ones. Are any of these any better?

and on the third one, I'm just looking at the concept. I know I need to nix some of the text dress-up, and maybe change fonts. Chances are I'll probably go with one of the first two though for now.

I like the first two much better. I still don't like the font you used for the "are you driven part". Makes it look cheap/cheesy.
