I just reformated my computer bout 5 days ago and there is something wrong with WMP. When ever I stream a video off the internet the whole video is in wired colors. The whole thing is pink and some other odd colors in there. Does anyone know whats going on?

Definitely looks like a codec problem. Do you happen to know what codec was used to encode that video? Divx, X-vid, etc??

BTW, you said that this was from streamed files. Does it do the same thing with video from your hard drive?

wow, i thought you meant like a colour tint, not like that. I agree with cmsurfer, you may need new codecs.

I dont know what codec was used but I think I fixed my problem. Didnt know WMP 10 was out so I tried that and seems that the videos dont have the problem anymore. The codec I use on my PC is Divx.
